Where do we even start? Multiple pools, a swim-up bar, a spa, a water park, a jumping pillow, putt putt golf, an arcade, basketball and tennis courts, and even go-karts and a skate park! To top it off, there’s an on-site pub, oyster shed, and liquor store. Yep, you can order drinks and snacks straight to your campsite!
Our Sandstone Point Adventure
Our journey began with a quintessential Aussie experience: a truck stop sleepover! After arriving at Sandstone Point, we were greeted with friendly staff and wristbands for everyone. The kids couldn’t resist the massive pool area, complete with a paddle pool, swim-up bar, spa, and water park. The best part? Ordering food and drinks straight to your poolside table with a simple QR code. We spent the next week in paradise and couldn’t tear ourselves away!
To break up our stay, we took a day trip to Australia Zoo. It’s an incredible place with amazing animal shows and a true tribute to Steve Irwin. If you’re in the area, it’s a must-visit!
Other nearby attractions include Brisbane DFO and Urban Xtreme Park. On our way home, we extended the holiday with stops at NRMA Treasure Island on the Gold Coast and NRMA Darlington Beach near Coffs Harbour (another one of our family favourites – read a blog about this park here.)
Sandstone Point is a family paradise. It offers everything you could want and more. We loved it so much, we’ve already booked our return trip for next year!
