VAN:2018 Jayco Silverline Outback triple bunk caravan.
LOCATION: NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort Biggera Waters QLD
We are heading up the east coast currently for five weeks with our good friends who are on a lap of Australia in their Jayco Silverline Outback as well.
Our first stop was NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort. Located on the fabulous Gold Coast in Australia, NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort offers the ultimate Queensland holiday experience! The park is situated just 10 minutes north of Surfers Paradise and is centrally located between all major theme parks – Dreamworld, Movieworld, Wet n Wild, and Seaworld.
The sites were lovely with palm trees and artificial grass so we didn’t even need to get our mat out. Our site backed onto the pool which was fantastic for the kids. The caravan park had three pools, a splash park, two large heated spas for the adults, and a playground right near us as well.
Amenities were nice and close and we were within walking distance to Harbourtown shopping outlets which were a little dangerous, however, we came back with lots of bargains. Harbourtown also has a Woolworths and lots of yummy food shops as well.
We were only 10 mins from the heart of Surfers paradise and 15 mins to the theme parks so decided to head to Movie World while we were here. Movie World was fantastic and the wet weather didn’t hinder our excitement or enthusiasm. With the rain there was limited attendance, so we didn’t have to line up for any rides. The kids did everything they were tall enough for and rode the Scooby-doo roller coaster about four times as they loved it so much.
We always love travelling to the Gold Coast as there are so many options to please everyone on every budget and depending on what type of holiday you are after, the options are endless.
Cost: Starting from $58 per night for a powered site. We paid $270 for the 4 nights, which was a discounted rate as we are NRMA members. We were on site 269 & 270 which were in a fantastic spot nice and close to all the amenities.
Amentities: The park has pools, spas, a tennis court, and a small putt-putt course. There is laundry facilities and lovely caravan and tent sites and cabins to suit everyone.
Hot tip: One little tip if you have little ones is to remember to pack a broom for outdoors to sweep away the leaves so they can crawl around.
