The top Easter events to check out in NSW

Easter 2021 certainly does look a lot different from the Easter we had in 2020. Last year Easter fell at the start of lockdown so no travel was permitted and Easter activities were cancelled.

If you are planning on heading out of town in your Jayco van these holidays, there are a few (COVID safe) events happening around NSW. We have listed some of the top Easter events happening in NSW below.

NORTH

  • dÁlbora Marina Nelson Bay Easter Egg Trail
    A fun Easter egg trail is being planned at d’Albora Marina in Port Stephens over the Easter long weekend. There will be plenty of activities for the kids and prizes to be won.

  • Lightning Ridge Easter Festival
    From the 2nd-4th April there will be plenty happening at the Lightning Ridge Easter Festival. From races to street entertainment, treasure hunts, stalls, food, games, fireworks and the Easter Parade on Sunday, there will be something of interest for everyone.

  • Raleigh Easter Motorsport Festival

  • Dungog Picnic Train
    Enjoy your Easter Sunday behind steam locomotive 5917 on a short journey up the picturesque North Coast line from Maitland to Dungog (return) on Sunday, 4 April 2021. The 59 Class 2-8-2 steam locomotives were used on the North Coast line by the NSW Government Railways up until the end of steam on the line in 1968. Passengers are advised to bring a picnic hamper and drinks.

  • The Sydney Family Show
    The Sydney Family Show will return to the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park from April 1st to 18th 2021, following a COVID-19-imposed hiatus in 2020.   • The Foundations Big Easter Weekend
    A range of activities are taking place across the Foundations Portland NSW this Easter Long Weekend. 2-4 April 2021. Enjoy twilight markets on the 3rd April with live music, food stall, local produce and much more. Also this weekend, the gates will be open for fishing at the Foundations. Registrations are a must. You must bring all your own gear, fishing is by lure or fly only, no bait allowed. This will be a strictly catch and release weekend, it is a preview of what is to come when full public fishing access is established in the near future.
